Community Initiative Funding

The West Sussex County Council Community Initiative Fund has provided vital funds to community groups and organisations across West Sussex since it was started in 2006.

Over this time West Sussex has awarded over £1.2 million to more than 450 organisations.

Small grants are available for community groups unable to obtain funds from the usual sources and must have the support of your local county Councillor.

Groups in Worthing which have received grants include Mick's Garage, Cortis Avenue Wildlife Garden, St Pauls War Memorial Restoration Fund, the Glendale Arts Theatre Group, Diverse Cultures Football Club, Broadwater Cricket Club, Ivy Arch Tunnel Painting Project and many more.

Funds are awarded at regular County Local Committee meetings and if you wish to submit an application, please contact your local County Councillor - contact details can be found on the West Sussex County Council website.
