Community Central invites local groups to make applications for grants for projects that benefit the Central ward community.Grants of £250 - £2500 are available for proposals which focus on 3 key issues of: Environment & Wellbeing, Life Skills & Information and Young People (14 - 21yrs). more

Starting in April running through to December there are 54 local community events on the calendar. From a Sheep Fair, Air Show, Festivals and Parades to Markets, Concerts and Forum events. These include fun for families, young people and older people, celebrations of history and culture and a little bit of our part in the Olympics. In the middle is Volunteers Week. These are showcases for voluntary and community services and activities. more

Come along to the Sydney Walter Centre this Saturday 17th March at 12 noon and meet the community.WCVS will be there along with many other groups working toward better Central ward neighbourhoods, developing plans and ideas and they want to hear from you. Amongst the bouncy castles, BBQ food, Circus Skills workshops, music and Albion in the Community there will also be the new Community Central 'Wishing Tree' where you can plant an idea and chat to the Panel, look at many information stands and local community services. more
