Networking and Representation
Networking
Voluntary and community organisations value opportunities to network with other groups. It provides the chance to learn, share expertise and develop contacts; it is a source of strength. It can also be motivational and supportive at times when the work and responsibilities of running a group can be challenging. Which makes networking and collaboration even more important.
The quarterly Worthing Voluntary Sector Forum enables you to meet with colleagues from other organisations, talk about and respond to key issues affecting our communities and to promote your own work, ideas and plans. The Forum also makes formal responses on local policies to other partners. The Forum meets in February, May, September and December.
Representation
WCVS is also concerned with representation of the voluntary and community sector in policy making, both in terms of carrying it out and in trying to increase the ability of the sector to be represented around key planning tables.
